Anthony Esteves
The only child of Azorean Portuguese parents, I was born and raised in the small town of Lodi, California. Growing up, Portuguese was my first language—an intentional move by my parents. They were fluent English speakers, but they didn't want me to lose the language of our heritage. My main exposure to English before school was through film and television—which explains my undying love and passion for the medium to this day.
Later on through middle school,I would discover author Michael Crichton after seeing Jurassic Park. The acclaimed writer who would become my first "grown up" author would also become my favorite (I was way too young to be reading Crichton, but hey, what do ya do?...).
While attending Lodi High School, I transitioned from former baseball & football player—no star athlete here by any means—to theatre nerd. I loved history (world & US) and eventually a fan of science in school. I remained a sports fan, but I quickly discovered that my love lies with the arts. Joining my love for film, television, and reading would be theatre and writing.

California State University Sacramento is where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications & Media. I credit three professors for increasing my knowledge and love in specific fields: Dr. Michele Foss-Snowden (Television Criticism), Professor Jenny Stark (Film Studies, especially Indie films), and Dr. David Zuckerman (International Communications).
Along with writing and podcasting, I consider myself a multifaceted entertainer. Since 2014, I have been a founding member of a comic book-themed podcast (The Capeless Crusaders) and appeared as a guest on the podcasts Guys In Shorts, The Virtual Couch, LRM's Los Fanboys, Nerd On!, and The TV Doctor. I am currently featured in the tourism-focused This Is Stockton podcast & I have contributed to the entertainment industry-focused news site LRM Online.
I am lucky enough to have had my face appear in the 2006 film The Pursuit Of Happyness and the second season of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why
